Using the above-recommended teams will make trainers 2 – 3 Trainers defeat Stakataka faster. However, if you do not have these full teams, you can still win. You need to raid with at least 4 other trainers. Ensure you use Pokemon with either a Fighting- or Ground-type Attack as a Fast Attack and as a Charged Attack.

Other important details

  • Stakataka’s maximum Combat Power (CP) stat is 3724 CP (at level 50).
  • Its best moves/attacks in Pokémon GO are Rock Throw as a Fast Attack and Stone Edge as a Charged Attack.
  • Its encounters are boosted during Partly Cloudy and Snowy weather in-game.
  • Its encounters can be Shiny (from April 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. local time).
  • It requires a maximum of 20 km walking distance to earn a Candy.
  • It is effective against Pokémon with either Poison-, Flying-, Normal-, Bug-, Dragon-, Fairy-, Ice-, Psychic-, or Rock-type moves/attacks.
  • It was last featured in Five-Star Raids from Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. local time to Monday, April 21, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time.
  • Any obtained from raids can be encountered as follows
    • from 1799 CP to 1882 CP (if not weather-boosted)
    • from 2249 CP to 2353 CP (if weather-boosted)
  • Any obtained from a Field or Special Research can be from 1349 CP to 1412 CP.
  • 1882 CP, 2353 CP, and 1412 CP are the CP for a perfect (aka, hundo) one when encountered from their respective means.
  • The tallest possible one is 8.25 m high (i.e. XXL).
  • The shortest possible one is 2.7 m high (i.e. XXS).

In conclusion, defeating Stakataka in raids requires a well-prepared team of strong Fighting- and Ground-type Pokémon. Avoid using Poison-, Flying-, Normal-, Bug-, Dragon-, Fairy-, Ice-, Psychic-, or Rock-type Pokémon, as Stakataka resists their attacks. To maximize efficiency, raid in Cloudy or Sunny weather in-game, coordinate with other trainers, and use recommended Mega Evolutions or Primal Reversions to boost Water-type attacks.

Good luck!
