Zekrom Recommended Counters in Pokémon GO

These Zekrom Recommended Counters are what you and your raid team need to have to defeat Zekrom in raids successfully. Zekrom will be available in raids from Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. local time to Tuesday, June 16, at 9:00 p.m. local time.

Zekrom Recommended Counters

Zekrom is a Dragon- and Electric-type Legendary Pokémon that is weak to Pokémon with Dragon-, Ground-, Ice-, and Fairy-type attacks. Therefore, you will need to use the Pokémon that can learn these attacks. In addition, Zekrom resists Pokémon with Fire-, Flying-, Grass-, Steel-, Water-, and Electric-type attacks. Avoid using these Pokémon or use the best ones.

Furthermore, Zekrom can learn either a Dragon-type or an Electric-type Fast Attack. It can also learn Dark-, Dragon-, Electric-, and Steel-type Charged Attacks. You will want to use Pokémon that resist these attacks.

These Pokémon are as follows.

  • Primal Groudon with Mud Shot as a Fast Attack and Precipice Blades as a Charged Attack.
  • Rayquaza with Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Breaking Swipe as a Charged Attack.
  • Shadow Groudon with Mud Shot as a Fast Attack and Precipice Blades as a Charged Attack.
  • Shadow Garchomp with Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Earth Power as a Charged Attack.
  • Kyurem (Black) with Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Freeze Shock as a Charged Attack.
  • Kyurem (White) with Ice Fang as a Fast Attack and Ice Burn as a Charged Attack.

Zekrom can be defeated by 3-5 high-level Trainers with strong counters.

These are the Pokémon you should save in your battle party and swap to whenever you join a Zekrom raid. If you want more Candy while raiding, you should Mega Rayquaza instead.

Other options?

Of course, there are other options to use. This is only recommended if you have at least 5 Trainers participating in the raid.

The following are the other options.

  • Mega Salamence with Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Draco Meteor as a Charged Attack.
  • Eternatus with Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Dynamax Cannon as a Charged Attack.
  • Dialga (Origin) with Dragon Breath as a Fast Attack and Roar of Time as a Charged Attack.
  • Palkia (Origin) with Dragon Tail as a Fast Attack and Spacial Rend as a Charged Attack.
  • Shadow Excadrill with Mud-Slap as a Fast Attack and Scorching Sands as a Charged Attack.
  • Landorus (Therian) with Mud Shot as a Fast Attack and Sandsear Storm as a Charged Attack.

Hundo CP for Zekrom from Raids

The hundo CP (i.e., the perfect CP) for Zekrom caught from raids depends on the in-game weather condition when it was caught. If caught during Windy or Rain weather conditions in-game, the hundo CP is 2884 CP. Otherwise, the hundo CP is 2307 CP. If any of these is Shiny, that’s a shundo.

Zekrom’s Best Moveset

If you get a good one or a hundo, you should teach it Charge Beam as a Fast Attack and Fusion Bolt as a Charged Attack. This is if you want to make it an Electric-type Attacker. Otherwise, teach it Dragon Breath as a Fast Attack and Fusion Bolt as a Charged Attack if you want to make it a Dragon-type Attacker.

Zekrom is better as an Electric-type Attacker.

All the best!
