Shadow Entei
It is a Legendary Fire-type Pokémon that is weak to Pokémon with Ground-, Rock-, and Water-type attacks. Its maximum Combat Power is 3926 CP. Its best movesets are Fire Fang as a Fast Attack and Overheat as a Charged Attack.
Shadow Entei is currently the #9 best Fire-type attacker in Pokémon GO. This means if you have the top 6 best Fire-type attackers, you don’t really need to do a lot of Shadow Raids for Entei. However, as a Fire-type Legendary Pokémon, Shadow Entei is useful as a raid attacker against Bug-, Steel-, Grass-, and Ice-type Pokémon.
If you raid Shadow Entei, the perfect one (i.e., a hundo) is with 2480 CP during Sunny weather conditions in the game. During other weather conditions, it is with 1984 CP.
Recommended Shadow Entei Counters
The following are the best Pokémon with either Ground-, Rock-, or Water-type attacks that you should have in your battle team. You can defeat Shadow with two (2) other Trainers if you use these counters.

If you do not have any of these, you can replace those you don’t have with any Pokémon that have either Ground-, Rock-, or Water-type attacks. Examples are Shadow Rhyperior, Shadow Tyranitar, Shadow Gyarados, etc. Whichever ones you choose for your battle team, ensure they are at least at level 35.
Shadow Raid Day Event Bonuses
Trainers participating in the event will get the following bonuses during the event hours.
- A maximum of six (6) free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs.
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Entei from Shadow Raids.
However, from Friday, May 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid limit will increase to 20.
