Maschiff and Mabosstiff PvP/PvE Viability
As pure Dark-type Pokémon, both are vulnerable to Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type moves while resisting Ghost and Dark-type attacks, and remaining completely immune to Psychic-type attacks.
If you plan to use Mabosstiff in Trainer Battles or Gym defense, optimal fast moves like Snarl paired with charged moves like Crunch or Payback will maximize its Dark-type damage output. Keep in mind that its lower bulk compared to traditional tank options means it functions best as a situational counter rather than a core meta staple.
