The following Applin Picking Research Tasks will be available during the Harvest Festival 2026 in Pokémon GO.

Whether you are looking to hunt down Shiny variants, maximize your hundo CPs, or choose the right evolution path using Sweet, Syrupy, or Tart Apples, this guide covers all the research tasks and rewards you need to know.
Applin Picking Research Tasks: Field Research
The following event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. They will reward one of the different items when you complete them. All the Pokémon encounters can be shiny.
- Catch 5 Grass-type Pokémon
- Foongus: hundo is 419 CP
- Skwovet: hundo is 404 CP
- Smoliv: hundo is 366 CP
- Catch 15 Grass-type Pokémon
- Applin: hundo is 306 CP
- Use 10 berries to help catch Pokémon
- Smoliv: hundo is 366 CP
- Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokémon
- 1 Sweet Apple
- 1 Syrupy Apple
- 1 Tart Apple
Note: You need Sweet Apple to evolve Applin into Appletun. You need Syrupy Apple to evolve Applin into Dipplin; You need Tart Apple to evolve Applin into Flapple.
Applin Picking Research Tasks: Branching Timed Research
The branching Timed Research gives trainers the option to choose from three different Apple choices. First, you need to complete step 1 and then step 2 gives you the option to make a choice.

- Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokémon: 500 Stardust
- Explore 1 km: 10 Applin Candy
- Rewards for completion: Applin encounter and 1000 XP

Other Applin Picking Research Tasks
More research tasks are available via the GO Pass: Harvest Festival. You will automatically receive the free path as soon as the event starts in your local time. The GO Pass has 60 steps with different rewards, including Tier rewards. You can upgrade to the deluxe path for additional rewards.
The following tasks will be available daily for you to earn associated points.
- Win a Raid: 100 points
- Hatch an Egg: 40 points
- Catch a Pokémon: 5 points.
Be on the lookout for additional tasks during the event. These additional tasks will grant you points after completing them. The points translate to your GO Pass rank progress.
