Dynamax Trails event: Wild Encounters, Max Battles, and Spotlight Hour
Wild Pokémon
Every non-Legendary and non-Mythical Pokémon that has previously debuted in Dynamax Max Battles will be appearing in the wild (in their non-dynamax form)! This is a prime opportunity to hunt for high-IV candidates or Shiny variants to add to your Dynamax roster.
Max Battles & Commemorative Backgrounds
Every non-Legendary and non-Mythical Dynamax Pokémon previously released in Pokémon GO may appear in Max Battles. Successfully completing Max Battles during the event gives you a chance to earn an exclusive Special Background on the catch screen, displaying the date and context of your victory.
Event Spotlight Hour
On Thursday, November 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the Galar starter trio takes center stage:
- Featured Spawns: Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble (all with Shiny availability).
- Active Bonus: 2× Catch Candy.
Eternatus’s return during the Dynamax Trails event
The highlight of the week occurs on Saturday, November 21, when the Poison- and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon Eternatus makes its grand return.
How to Catch Eternatus
Eternatus can only be caught once per player during this event via progression through the GO Pass: Dynamax Trails. If you already caught Eternatus in a past event, your encounter reward will automatically convert into 100 bonus Eternatus Candies.
Eternamax Eternatus Takeover
From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, Eternamax Eternatus will take over the vast majority of Power Spots worldwide.
Catch Restrictions: Defeating Eternamax Eternatus will not grant a direct catch opportunity for its Eternamax form.
Raid Rewards: Instead, winning these heavy-hitting battles rewards massive amounts of Eternatus Candy and Eternatus Candy XL. Because powering up Eternatus requires significantly more Candy than standard Pokémon, these battles are essential.
Eternatus Takeover Bonuses
- Power Spots refresh much faster.
- Daily Max Particle collection limit boosted to 2,400.
- 8× Max Particles collected from Power Spots.
