What are the best Pokémon to power up for the upcoming month in Pokémon GO? Next month, April 2026, is filled with rotating Max Battles, Five-Star Raids, Mega Raids, and more. To really enjoy these activities, there are some Pokémon you need to power up right away. This will help you prepare for the activities you may want to take part in in April 2026.
Max Battles
To prepare for the April 2026 Max Battles, the following are the Pokémon to power up.
- Gigantamax Inteleon for Dynamax Trapinch, Dynamax Drilbur, Dynamax Regirock, and Dynamax Shuckle.
- Gigantamax Kingler, if you have enough resources. This Gigantamax Pokémon is also useful as an attacker against all the above-listed Dynamax Pokémon.
- Dynamax Blissey is a useful defender and healer against the Dynamax Pokémon.
Please note, I’ll include the Pokémon you should power up for April’s Max Battle Day as soon as the featured Pokémon is revealed.
Mega Raids
The following are the Pokémon to power up for the April 2026 Mega Raids.
- Groudon, Shadow Garchomp, Landorus (Therian Forme), and Shadow Excadrill for Mega Manectric.
- Kyogre, Swampert, Blastoise, and Gyarados for Mega Aerodactyl.
- Heracross, Pinsir, Beedril, and Scizor for Mega Alakazam.
- Sceptile, Kartana, Venusaur, and Shaymin (Sky Forme) for Mega Sharpedo.
- Dawn Wings Necrozma, Gengar, Shadow Mewtwo, and Shadow Chandelure for Mega Banette.
Five-Star Raids
Power up the following Pokémon for the April 2026 Legendary Raids.
