The Regi Trio (Regirock, Regice, and Registeel) were the original trio Regi. They were introduced in Generation 3 (Hoenn) as a Rock-type, Ice-type, and Steel-type Pokémon respectively. They each possess a wide variety of vulnerabilities.

Regi Trio Raid Tips
Having the best counters may not be enough. You also need a good strategy. The following tips will help you a great deal:
Coordinate Megas: Match your Mega Pokémon to your main attackers to maximize damage. For Regirock, use Mega Swampert or Mega Sceptile; for Regice and Registeel, use Mega Blaziken or Mega Charizard Y to boost Fire-type damage.
Weather Advantage: Take advantage of in-game weather boosts to speed up the raid. Sunny/Clear weather boosts Fire and Ground counters (essential for Regice and Registeel), while Rainy weather boosts Water counters for Regirock.
Watch Out for Dual-Type Fast/Charged Moves: Because the Regis can carry mixed coverage moves (like Regice carrying Thunder or Regirock carrying Earthquake), check your boss’s specific moveset before the battle starts to avoid unexpected super-effective damage on your counters.
Move Alignment: Make sure your chosen counters have their optimal STAB (Same-Type Attack Bonus) moves unlocked and TMs used before the raid starts to beat the timer against their notoriously high defense stats.
How Many Trainers are Needed?
Due to their high defensive stats, taking down any of the Regi trio members requires proper preparation. Under optimal conditions with maxed-out, top-tier counters and weather boosts, they can be duoed or trios by experienced high-level players. However, for most casual or mid-level raid groups, a safe lobby size of 4 to 6 trainers will comfortably secure the win.
Best Movesets for the Regi Trio
If you catch a high-IV Regi Trio and want to optimize it for raids, their optimal movesets are:
Regirock: Lock-On (Fast) + Stone Edge & Earthquake (Charged)
Regice: Lock-On (Fast) + Blizzard & Thunder (Charged)
Registeel: Lock-On (Fast) + Zap Cannon & Focus Blast (Charged)
