
The Valentine’s Day 2026 event in Pokémon GO is scheduled to start on Tuesday, February 10, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The event will continue until Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. It features Furfrou, a Global challenge, and other activities.
Valentine’s Day 2026 Event Bonuses
Trainers participating in the event will have access to the following bonuses
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Stardust from opening Gifts.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Nidoran♀ and Shiny Nidoran♂.
- Increased chance to hatch Shiny Nidoran♀, Shiny Nidoran♂, and Shiny Cherubi
Furthermore, for the duration of the event, you’ll be able to change your Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou! Changing your Furfrou from one trim to any other trim will cost 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.
Valentine’s Day 2026 Event Global Challenge
A Global Challenge will take place during the Valentine’s Day event. Trainers will be able to send Gifts to unlock the following bonuses
- Free Timed Research awarding encounters with Spinda with a heart pattern.
- Successfully catching a Pokémon with a Curveball Throw will award additional 750 XP.
- Gifts may include Rare Candy.
Valentine’s Day Timed Research
This was unlocked with the completion of the Global Challenge. Spinda can be shiny. Perfect (or hundo) Spinda from Research has 523 CP.

Other event details
- Wild encounters: Trainers may encounter event-themed Pokémon in the wild. This includes Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, Furfrou, Audino, and more!
- Eggs: Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Cherubi, and Happiny will hatch from the 7 km Eggs received during the event.
- Three-Star Raids: Gardevoir and Gallade
- Featured Attack: Evolve Kirlia (Ralts’s Evolution) during the event to get a Gardevoir or Gallade that knows the Charged Attack Synchronoise. Likewise, Gardevoir and Gallade encountered after three-star raids will know the Charged Attack Synchronoise.
- Field Research Task Rewards: Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Complete the Field Research tasks to earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
