Shiny Scorbunny Debuts in March 2026’s Community Day event. Trainers will have the opportunity to catch their very first Shiny Scorbunny, which can then be evolved into Shiny Raboot and then into Shiny Cinderace.
March 2026 Community Day: Scorbunny
The Community Day is on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Scorbunny, the Rabbit Pokémon, will be featured during March Community Day. This Pokémon and its Evolutions have been in the game for a while now. However, their Shiny variants will be available at the start of the event in your local time. In addition, if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Scorbunny or a (Shiny) Scorbunny that has a Special Background!
Please note that the Special Background is a yearly Special Background similar to the ones from January and February 2026 Community Day events.
Featured Attack and Attack Availability
You can evolve (Shiny) Scorbunny to its final Evolution and get a (Shiny) Cinderace that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn. Blast Burn is a Fire-type Charged Attack that deals 120 damage in Gym and Raid battles while costing 50 energy. In the GO Battle League, Blast Burn deals 110 damage while costing 50 energy. Blast Burn is super-effective against Bug-, Steel-, and Grass-type Pokémon.
(Shiny) Cinderance can learn Blast Burn via evolution during the event and up to 9:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, March 14, 2026. After this time, (Shiny) Cinderance may be able to learn Blast Burn by using an Elite Charged TM.
Furthermore, starting with the event and continuing afterwards, (Shiny) Cinderace will be able to learn the Charged Attack Pyro Ball. Pyro Ball is a Fire-type Charged Attack that deals 150 damage in Gym and Raid battles. In the GO Battle League, Pyro Ball deals 75 damage. Pyro Ball is super-effective against Bug-, Steel-, and Grass-type Pokémon.
Hundo Shiny Scorbunny from Research
Field and Special Research will be available during the March 2026 Community Day. A Scorbunny with 470 CP from a Research encounter is a hundo. If shiny, that is a Shundo.
Shiny Scorbunny Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be available from the start of the event at 2:00 p.m. local time to either 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. local time.
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time bonuses
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two, for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
Extended bonuses until 9:00 p.m. local time

Please note that Scorbunny will have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules. Scorbunny attracted to regular Lure Modules will still have an increased chance to be Shiny and may have a Special Background.

- March Community Day–themed Field Research. Catch Scorbunny to earn rewards such as Stardust, Ultra Balls, additional encounters with Scorbunny, and more! You may even find Field Research that leads to encounters with Scorbunny that have a Special Background—if you’re lucky!
- Community Day Ultra Box. The Community Day Ultra Box will be available on the Pokémon GO Webstore for US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). This includes the Community Day Special Research ticket and five Ultra Balls.
- Community Ambassador Hosted Events. Check the Community Day map to find Community Ambassador events and local parks where you can play Community Day with other Trainers. You can also search Niantic’s Campfire and find other meetups in your area. Please be really careful about which meetups you join.
- Community Ambassador Check-ins. Attend a meetup hosted by a Community Ambassador. Check into a Community Ambassador event to get Timed Research that leads to additional encounters with Scorbunny with a Special Background, as well as other premium item rewards
