The Community Day for Frigibax was a three (3) hours event held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The main bonuses were available during those hours. Maximizing Candy Yields with Mega Evolutions
To get the most out of this three-hour window, running a high-level Dragon-type Mega Pokémon was an absolute necessity. By utilizing a Level 4 Mega Dragonite, the catch mechanics granted a significant boost to both regular Candy and the rarer Candy XL for every Frigibax caught.This strategy proved highly effective, allowing me to cross the 1,500 Candy XL milestone by the end of the event, ensuring enough resources to fully power up multiple Baxcalibur for future PvE and PvP battles.To put this into perspective. Spatial Rend and Map Coverage Strategy
The impressive 868 Frigibax encounters were heavily supported by keeping Palkia’s Origin Forme Adventure Effect active. Running the Spacial Rend duration for two hours expanded the map’s spawn radius significantly, allowing me to interact with clusters of Pokémon that would normally remain out of reach.This extended reach, combined with walking a steady 12-kilometer route through mid-density PokéStop areas, kept the catch rate steady at roughly 79% and minimized downtime between spawn waves.READ ALSO: Adventure Effects in Pokémon GO

Is Baxcalibur Worth the Hustle?
With a haul of 16 Shiny Frigibax and two distinct Hundos, the immediate question is how to best utilize these newly acquired assets.Baxcalibur stands out as a powerful Dragon- and Ice-type attacker in Pokémon GO. While it faces stiff competition from the likes of Mamoswine and Shadow variants in raids, its raw stats make it an incredibly fun and potent closer in the Master League.The resource investment from this Community Day ensures that evolving a hundo Baxcalibur will pay off in terms of raids and Premier Master League battles.
