The Frigibax Community Day will feature the Ice Fin Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild, in some Field Research tasks, and as encounters after completing some of the event-themed Special Research tasks.
June 2026 Community Day: Frigibax
The June 2026 Community Day is scheduled on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Frigibax, the featured Pokémon during the June 2026 Community Day, will appear more frequently in the wild. In addition, if you’re lucky, you might encounter a (Shiny) Frigibax that has a Special Background. Please note that the Special Background is a yearly Special Background similar to those from the previous 2026 Community Day events.
Featured Attack and Attack Availability
You can evolve (Shiny) Frigibax to its final Evolution and get a (Shiny) Baxcalibur that knows the Charged Attack Glaive Rush.
Glaive Rush is a Dragon-type Charged Attack that deals 105 damage in Gym and Raid battles. In the GO Battle League, Glaive Rush deals 90 damage and decreases its defense by one stage. Glaive Rush is super-effective against Dragon-type Pokémon.
(Shiny) Baxcalibur can learn Glaive Rush via evolving (Shiny) Frigibax during the event and up to 9:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 20, 2026. After this time, (Shiny) Baxcalibur may be able to learn Glaive Rush by using an Elite Charged TM.
Hundo (Shiny) Frigibax from Research
Field and Special Research will be available during the June 2026 Community Day. A Frigibax with 534 CP from a Research encounter is a hundo. If shiny, that is a Shundo. Likewise, its evolution, Arctibax with 896 CP from a research encounter, is a hundo. If shiny, that is a Shundo. A Baxcalibur with 1521 CP from a Research encounter is a hundo. If shiny, that is a Shundo.
The following research tasks will reward Frigibax as an encounter when completed.

Community Day Tips
The following are the most essential tips to make the best out of this community day.
- Mega evolved a Mega Level 3 Dragon- or Ice-type Pokémon: This helps you get additional Candy, Candy XL, and XP when you catch Frigibax. Examples are Super Mega Dragonite, Mega Rayquaza, Mega Latias, Mega Latios, Mega Salamence, Mega Altaria, Mega Garchomp, Mega Abomasnow, or Mega Glalie. Your best bet is to use a Super Mega Dragonite or a Max Level Mega (Mega Level 3).
- Use Palkia’s Spacial Rend Adventure Effect: This increases your Pokémon spawn catch radius. Helping you see more Frigibax spawns.

Shiny Frigibax Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be available from the start of the event at 2:00 p.m. local time to either 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. local time.
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time bonuses
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two, for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

Please note that Frigibax will have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules. Frigibax attracted to regular Lure Modules will still have an increased chance to be Shiny and may have a Special Background.

- Community Ambassador Hosted Events. Check the Community Day map to find Community Ambassador events and local parks where you can play Community Day with other Trainers. You can also search Niantic’s Campfire and find other meetups in your area. Please be really careful about which meetups you join.
- Community Ambassador Check-ins. Attend a meetup hosted by a Community Ambassador. Check into a Community Ambassador event to get Timed Research that leads to additional encounters with Frigibax with a Special Background, as well as other premium item rewards.
