Mimikyu VS Pikachu! What will happen when Mimikyu and Pikachu engage in a battle? We currently don’t know what that will look like in practice. However, hypothetically, many will say Mimikyu will dominate Pikachu. Theoretically, that may be true. Analytically, Mimkyu will win since it has better attack, defense, and stamina stats as compared to Pikachu.
Furthermore, Mimikyu’s maximum Combat Power is 2516 CP, while that of Pikachu is 1060 CP. You can really see where this is going.
Anyway, that is not the reason for this content.
The reason for this content is to record what I got from catching Pikachu and Mimikyu during the week Mimikyu made its debut in Pokémon GO.
Mimikyu VS Pikachu: Debut
Mimikyu was released in Pokémon GO on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. I had my first encounter in the wild a few minutes into that day. Then, on Monday, April 6, 2026, Mimikyu ceased to exist in the wild.
The table below compares what I got from catching both during the event week.
