Riolu Hatch Day Recap is another installment of my infrequent event recaps. It highlights the impact an event had on my in-game progress, allowing me to compare key records from before and after the event. This time, it is the Hatch Day event. Let’s take a look!
Riolu Hatch Day
The Hatch Day for Riolu was a six (6) hours event held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. However, I played only 4 of the 6 hours actively. Here is the result of my the Hatch Day went.

Yes! I hatched my first Hundo (100% IV) Riolu. It’s been a long time coming. I have also hatched a couple of shiny that I have traded away. However, I had only one left before this Hatch Day. Out of the 22 new Shiny Riolu, 1 (one) is a 98% IV Shiny Riolu.

Joining a Party during the Hatch Day event hours helped reduce the Egg hatch distance. I did routes because the Hatch Day coincided with a Route-based event – the April 2026 Sustainability Week.
