The Sobble Community Day will feature the Water Lizard Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild, in some Field Research tasks, and as encounters after completing some of the event-themed Special Research tasks.
Sobble Community Day: July 2026
The July 2026 Community Day is scheduled on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Sobble, the featured Pokémon during the July 2026 Community Day, will appear more frequently in the wild. In addition, if you’re lucky, you might encounter a (Shiny) Sobble that has a Special Background. Please note that the Special Background is a yearly Special Background similar to those from the previous 2026 Community Day events.
Sobble Community Day: Featured Attack and Attack Availability
You can evolve (Shiny) Sobble to its final Evolution and get a (Shiny) Inteleon that knows the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.
Hydro Cannon is a Water-type Charged Attack that deals 90 damage in Gym and Raid battles while costing 50 energy. In the GO Battle League, Hydro Cannon deals 80 damage while costing 40 energy. Hydro Cannon is super-effective against Ground-, Rock-, and Fire-type Pokémon.
(Shiny) Inteleon can learn Hydro Cannon via evolving (Shiny) Sobble during the event and up to 9:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, July 4, 2026. After this time, (Shiny) Inteleon may be able to learn Snipe Shot by using an Elite Charged TM.
New Attack: Snipe Shot
Furthermore, starting with the event and continuing afterwards, Inteleon will be able to learn the Charged Attack Snipe Shot.
Snipe Shot is a Water-type Charged Attack that deals 100 damage in Gym and Raid battles while costing 33 energy. In the GO Battle League, Snipe Shot deals 65 damage while costing 35 energy. It also has a 12.5 percent chance to increase Inteleon’s attack by two stages. Snipe Shot is super-effective against Ground-, Rock-, and Fire-type Pokémon.
Inteleon in GO Battle League (PvP)
If you are looking for an Inteleon to use in the GO Battle League, the following are the rank 1 IVs you should look out for.
- Great League: 0-13-12 (attack – defense – hp)
- Ultra League: 1-15-13 (attack – defense – hp)
Make sure you evolve the Sobble(s) with the above-stated IVs into Inteleon(s) before 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Note that a Sobble with lower attack and higher defense and HP can also rank higher, especially for the Great League. Don’t transfer these until you’re sure they are not worth it.
Hundo (Shiny) Sobble from Research
Field and Special Research will be available during the July 2026 Community Day. A Sobble with 470 CP from a Research encounter is a hundo. If shiny, that is a Shundo. Likewise, its evolution, Drizzile with 812 CP from a research encounter, is a hundo. If shiny, that is a Shundo. An Inteleon with 1270 CP from a research encounter is a hundo. If shiny, that is a Shundo.
The following research tasks will reward Sobble as an encounter when completed.

Sobble Community Day Tips
The following are the most essential tips to make the best out of this community day.
- Mega evolved a Mega Level 3 Water-type Pokémon: This helps you get additional Candy, Candy XL, and XP when you catch Sobble. Examples are Primal Kyogre, Mega Gyarados, Mega Blastoise, Mega Swampert, Mega Slowbro, or Mega Sharpedo. Your best bet is to use Primal Kyogre. It boosts Electric-, Water-, and Bug-type Pokémon.
- Use Palkia’s Spacial Rend Adventure Effect: This increases your Pokémon spawn catch radius. Helping you see more Sobble spawns.

Shiny Sobble Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be available from the start of the event at 2:00 p.m. local time to either 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. local time.
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time bonuses
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two, for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

Please note that Sobble will have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules. Sobble attracted to regular Lure Modules will still have an increased chance to be Shiny and may have a Special Background.
IMPORTANT: The Pokémon GO 10th Anniversary Party will be live concurrently with the July 2026 Community Day. Therefore, expect to have the following bonuses from the Anniversary Party to stack with the July 2026 Community Day bonuses.
- 4× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 4× Stardust for catching Pokémon

- Community Ambassador Check-ins. Attend a meetup hosted by a Community Ambassador. Check into a Community Ambassador event to get Timed Research that leads to additional encounters with Sobble with a Special Background, as well as other premium item rewards.
