The upcoming Staraptor Super Mega Raid Day is bringing massive updates, including the global debut of Mega Staraptor and an entirely new tier of power for Mega-Evolved Pokémon. If you are looking to prep your team, clear your calendar, and maximize your rewards, here is a complete breakdown of what to expect when the event kicks off.
Staraptor Super Mega Raid Day Event Date and Time
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 19, 2026. The main event will run locally from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this three-hour window, Trainers will have a prime opportunity to take on challenging raids, collect exclusive resources, and hunt down shiny variants.
Mega Staraptor Makes Its Global Debut
The crown jewel of the event is the arrival of Mega Staraptor, which is making its official Pokémon GO debut in Super Mega Raids. This fierce Normal- and Flying-type powerhouse is a fan-favorite from the Sinnoh region, and its Mega form promises to be a devastating asset in battle. Better yet, lucky Trainers who conquer these raids may encounter a Shiny Staraptor, making this a must-play event for shiny hunters and collectors alike.
Unlock the Exclusive Brave Bird+ during Staraptor Super Mega Raid Day
Pushing a Pokémon to the Super Max level comes with a massive tactical advantage. As discovered during the recent Mega Finale, Pokémon eligible for the Super Max level can learn an additional Charged Attack while they are Mega Evolved.
For Mega Staraptor, this means gaining access to the powerful Brave Bird+ move. This move deals 70 power and decreases the user’s Defense by three stages in Trainer battles (PvP). In Gyms, Raids, and other battles (PvE) it packs a devastating 150 power.
The raw power of this special attack will scale alongside your Pokémon’s Mega Level, making a fully optimized Mega Staraptor an absolute monster in raid scenarios.
