Shake up Your Strategy with Additional Charged Attacks in Pokémon GO

Additional Charged Attacks are here in Pokémon GO. Pokémon GO is evolving once again with a meta-shifting update that introduces Additional Charged Attacks for select Mega-Evolved Pokémon.

Whether you are climbing the ranks in competitive PvP or tackling high-tier raids, understanding how these extra moves work will be crucial for your success. This update brings signature upgrades, dynamic power scaling, and fresh strategic depth to the game.

Additional Charged Attacks and  Implementation

Pokémon that can reach Super Max Level will have additional Charged Attacks while Mega Evolved!

These Pokémon are getting signature upgrades.

Please note that the Pokémon that can reach Super Max Level will have their additional charge attack regardless of which Mega level they are. In the future, as Pokémon gain access to Super Max Levels, they’ll also get an additional Charged Attack while Mega Evolved.

These charged attacks will be implemented as follows.

  • Access to a max of four (4) attacks: While mega-evolved, any of these Pokémon can have one Fast Attack and a max of three Charged Attacks. Of the three Charged Attacks, two are the regular primary and secondary Charged Attacks and one is the additional charge attack.

  • Power Scaling: The power of these additional moves increases dynamically as your Pokémon’s Mega Level grows.

  • GO Battle League Integration: Pokémon can utilize these extra attacks in the GO Battle League, though they are currently restricted from use in Gym battles.’
