The Road of Legends will start on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. local time. It will then continue until Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time. Trainers can expect to experience the following.
The Road of Legends Raid Encounters
Legendary Pokémon, Ultra Beasts, and other Pokémon will appear in raids throughout the event. However, the raid window will be between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time every day during the Road of Legends event.
Furthermore, the Pokémon appearing in Five-Star raids each day of the event will also be featured in Raid Hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time that day. However, on Monday, July 6, 2026, Raid Hour will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time.
Likewise, Pokémon appearing in Mega Raids each day of the event will also be featured in Mega Raid Hour from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time that day. However, on Friday, July 10, 2026, Primal Raid Hour will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time.

Understanding Fusion Raid Encounters
For the encounters featuring Dawn Wings Necrozma, Dusk Mane Necrozma, White Kyurem, and Black Kyurem, trainers will not catch the fused forms directly. Instead, successfully completing these raids will reward you with standard Necrozma or Kyurem encounters, alongside corresponding Fusion Energy (Solar Fusion Energy, Lunar Fusion Energy, or Kyurem Fusion Energy) and Candy to help you fuse your own Pokémon.
Road of Legends Event bonuses
The following bonuses will be available during the event. They will also be active till the end of Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.
- No Remote Raid Pass limit from Monday, July 6, to Sunday, July 12, 2026.
- Special stickers from spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts.
- Premier Balls will be more effective at catching Pokémon after raids.
- Party Power charges faster in raids.
- Up to 2 free Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. (only active during the Road of Legends event)
Adventure Effects via Elite TM
Trainers can use an Elite TM to get Spacial Rend for Origin Forme Palkia. You can also an Elite TM to get Roar of Time for Origin Forme Dialga. This bonus will be available during the Road of Legends event and throughout Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.
New Special Pokémon Backgrounds
Trainers will have a chance to receive Special Backgrounds after catching certain Pokémon from Raid Battles. These souvenir backgrounds will appear on a Pokémon’s summary page, similar to the Location Backgrounds that are available exclusively at in-person events.
The Special Background may be available for the following.
- Pokémon caught from five-star raids, Primal Raids, and Mega Raid Battles between Monday, July 6, and Sunday, July 12, 2026.
- Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Raids during GO Fest: Global. If that Mewtwo with a Special Background is Mega Evolved, its Mega Evolution’s background will have an additional visual effect.
Note that Super Mega Raids are a tier above standard Mega Raids, requiring stronger party coordination. They will go live globally during the main GO Fest weekend, so saving your high-tier counters and gathering a reliable local or remote party is highly recommended if you want to secure that exclusive Mewtwo background.
Road of Legends Egg Hatches
Event-themed Eggs will be available starting Monday, July 6, 2026. The Egg Pools are as follows.
- 2 km Eggs: Weedle, Pidgey, Abra, Gastly, Pinsir, Aerodactyl, Mareep, Larvitar, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Bagon, Beldum, Gible, Riolu, Snover, Audino, and Larvesta.
- 5 km Eggs: Bulbasaur wearing Pikachu visor, Charmander wearing Pikachu visor, Squirtle wearing Pikachu visor, Heracross, Mime Jr., and Larvesta.
- 10 km Eggs: Tropius, Axew, Bouffalant, Larvesta, Goomy, Jangmo-o, Toxel, and Frigibax.
Please note that Larvesta may hatch from 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km Eggs. This means it will be rarer to hatch.
GO Pass: Road of Legends
From Monday, July 6, at 12:01 a.m. to Sunday, July 12, at 11:59 p.m. local time, the GO Pass and the GO Pass Deluxe for Road of Legends will be available in Pokémon GO.
