This is the third installment of my Pokémon GO weekly stats comparison. Every week of Pokémon GO means another opportunity to catch more Pokémon, catch shinies, find those elusive perfect IV Pokémon, win more raids, explore further, improve Stardust count, and make progress toward your next goals.
For this week’s comparison, we look at two consecutive seven-day periods: Tuesday, September 1 to Monday, September 7, 2026, and Tuesday, September 8 to Monday, September 14, 2026. The goal is simple: see how my gameplay activity changed from one week to the next and identify the areas where the biggest improvements happened.

Let’s take a closer look at the numbers for the second part.

The numbers point toward a noticeably more active week, except for raiding. The biggest improvement came from Shiny Pokémon caught, which increased by 300%. This increase is a result of the Gible Community Day Classic on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Compared to last week, Hundo Pokémon earned jumped by 233.33%. Stardust earned also increased by 130.69%. Even the smallest improvement, Pokémon Caught, still represented a healthy 32.34% increase. The distance walked increased by 43.53%. The 35.85% increase in PokéStops Visited shows a week full of exploration. However, Raids won decreased by 88.41% while the XP earned saw a decrease of 46.65%.
Overall, this was a week of positive movement across the board.
🐾 Pokémon Caught Weekly Stats Comparison
The number of Pokémon caught increased from 2,081 to 2,754 representing a 32.34% increase.
That’s an additional 673 Pokémon caught compared with the previous week.
A higher catch total can be influenced by several factors, including increased time spent playing, favorable wild spawns, events, Spotlight Hours, Incense, Lures, or simply spending more time exploring areas with high PokéStop density.
Based on the 673 extra Pokémon caught, it is obvious that the Gible Community Day Classic had a massive influence. Community Day are hours full of increased spawn of the featured Pokémon.
✨ Shiny Catches for the Weekly Stats Comparison
Catching shinies is always a fun experience in Pokémon GO. The surprise that comes with tapping on a Pokémon and see it sparkle is always good. However, when you start comparing your shiny catches, you find out that it is no fun if the shiny rate is low.
The previous week was a good shiny catch week because of the community day classic with increased shiny chance. I caught 28 shinies based on luck. That’s 21 additional shiny Pokémon and a huge 300% increase.

- 24 Shiny Gible, caught on September 12 in the wild.
- 1 Shiny Honedge, hatched on September 14 in the wild.
- 1 Shiny Carnivine, caught on September 14 in the wild.
- 1 Shiny Sobble, caught on September 14 in the wild.
💯 Hundo Caught for the Weekly Stats Comparison
Now for the statistic every collector loves to see: Hundos.
A “Hundo” is the community term for a Pokémon with perfect 15/15/15 Individual Values (IVs). In Pokémon GO’s appraisal system, a perfect Pokémon receives a four-star appraisal.
This week, the number of Hundos caught increased from 3 to 10. That’s 7 additional perfect Pokémon and a huge 233.33% increase.

- Hundo Vulpix, caught on September 10 as a reward from the GBL Ultra League.
- Hundo Pidgeotto, caught on September 11 as a a reward from the September 2026 GO Pass.
- Hundo Gible, caught on September 12 in the wild.
- Hundo Flamigo, caught on September 13 in the wild from Daily Adventure Incense.
- Hundo Scorbunny, caught on September 14 in the wild.
- Hundo Joltik, caught on September 14 in the wild.
- Hundo Seedot, caught on September 14 in the wild.
- Hundo Ducklett, caught on September 14 in the wild.
- Hundo Taillow, caught on September 14 in the wild.
⚔️ Raid Performance Weekly Stats Comparison
Raid activity also moved significantly lower.
The number of raids won decreased from 69 to 8, representing a 88.41% decrease. That’s a decrease of 61 raid victories compared to the week before. The descrease suggests that raiding didn’t play a major role in this week’s gameplay compared with the previous week.
More raid participation can also contribute to additional XP, Pokémon encounters, Candy, and opportunities to hunt for high-IV or shiny raid bosses. I’ll see if I can increase my raiding this coming week.
🚶 Walking & Exploration Weekly Stats Comparison
Pokémon GO is built around exploration, and the walking statistics show another positive trend.
My distance walked increased from 52.6 km to 77.6 km, an upgrade of 43.53%. That represents a increase of 25 kilometers traveled during the week.
PokéStop activity also increased, with visits going up from 926 to 1,258. That’s a 35.85% Increase. This is an increase of 332 PokéStops visits.
💰 Stardust Weekly Stats Comparison
Stardust is one of the most valuable resources in Pokémon GO. Whether you’re powering up a favorite Pokémon, unlocking a second Charged Attack, building a competitive PvP roster, or preparing a Legendary for battle, Stardust can disappear quickly.
This week, the Stardust earned grew from 217,896 to 502,667, representing a +130.69% change. That’s a gain of 284,771 Stardust.
Catching more Pokémon naturally provides more opportunities to accumulate Stardust, while other gameplay activities can contribute as well. In my case, the Stardust reward from the end of GO Battle League season rewards played a huge part in this. Additionally, I did not spend too much of powering up Pokémon.
⭐ XP & Level Progress Weekly Stats Comparison
Surprisingly, XP earned followed an downward trend.
Weekly XP gains decreased from 5,370,755 to 2,865,567. A decrease of 46.65%
That’s a total of 2,505,188 XP missed compared with the previous week.
Because my raid activity plummeted (dropping 61 fewer raid wins), I missed out heavily on the massive XP bonuses associated with legendary raids, alongside fewer Friendship level-ups and Lucky Egg optimizations.
📈 What the Weekly Stats Comparison Numbers Tell Us
So, was this actually a better Pokémon GO week?
Based on these statistics, yes.
Every major tracked statistic increased compared with the previous seven-day period. The increase in Pokémon caught shows more catching activity, while the rise in raids indicates more participation in battle content.
Perhaps the most interesting combination is the increase in both raids won and XP earned. Doing 130% more raids while earning 104.5% more XP suggests that increased raiding translated into stronger overall progression.
And then there are the hundos.
A 50% increase makes hundo collection one of the success stories of the week.
